Sowers Church is a new church plant coming to Norman, Oklahoma – for the Glory of God and the Good of Norman. Sowers Church is a multi-generational community of faith committed to the next generation.
We are hiring our worship leader, and as a member of our church-planting staff team, you would oversee and execute the worship, tech, volunteer teams, and general gathering environments of Sowers Church (along with our weekly college service – Salt Company) with excellence and with a pastoral heart.
With the nature of church planting, each staff member is responsible for raising a portion of their salary in personal financial support to work of planting.

Job Description
Top 10 Responsibilities:
- Grow as a loving disciple of Jesus in all areas of life
- Be a pacesetter in cultivating and communicating the vision of Sowers Church + Salt Company
- Collaborate with the staff team to shape and promote the worship culture of Sowers Church
- Lead our worship gatherings on Sundays and at Salt Company with visible passion, theological clarity, and technical excellence
- Create and lead the worship and production set-up teams for effective prep and execution
- Identify, disciple, coach, and train existing and emerging musicians & worship leaders to lead + serve
- Oversee and manage all technical aspects of worship gatherings, including understanding live sound engineering principles, training tech volunteers, and other areas of focus to ensure a quality worship setting
- Personally raise a portion of their salary in financial support as Sowers Church establishes itself in the community
- Work independently and proactively, handling behind-the-scenes projects essential for Sowers Church gatherings, for both Sunday mornings and college nights (Salt Company)
- Proactively handle all worship administration, while engaging in creative projects as time allows
Requirements:
- A clear call to vocational ministry and worship leadership that others have affirmed
- Bachelor's degree
- Some level of experience in leading worship in a church/ministry context
- Bonus points if: you love church planting and are fun 🙂
