About the Position

A full-time position responsible for the leading of worship, pastoral care, the oversight of discipleship environments and comprehensive leadership of Local Youth (Student Ministry). This position involves ongoing care and development of these areas and the staff and volunteers within them.

What You'll Do

Worship

• Participate in all corporate gatherings, leading worship in song. This might include leading in prayer, corporate readings, reflection, communion, etc.
• Ensure we are using gospel-centered, Christ exalting songs.
• Plan and lead special events with a focus on worship.
• Provide regular, clear and grace-filled communication that imparts vision and encourages involvement in worship.
• Participate in the oversight, scheduling and development of LCSP's Worship Team. This includes understanding Planning Center and Music Stand, leading auditions and developing future worship leaders for Sunday gatherings.
• Participate in the oversight, scheduling and development of individuals and small teams to lead worship in other contexts such as Local Youth, College Age, Prayer and Discipleship gatherings.
• Invest and engage relationally with the team and develop leaders.

Production Team

• Oversee Production Team Lead to ensure ongoing quality of audio-visual elements of all gatherings and livestreams.
• Work with the Production Team lead to ensure volunteers are properly trained and developed.

Student Ministry

• Oversee all environments, activities and programming for Local Youth (middle + high schoolers) to ensure Local Church St. Pete is providing high-quality, gospel-centered instruction in a safe and engaging atmosphere.

• Provide pastoral care to students and families. This includes equipping and engaging students to be on mission in the unique season God has them in.
• Lead main session of Local Youth gatherings with gospel teaching.
• Oversee Local Youth leaders, identify and develop new leaders and organize mentorships/small groups between leaders and students.

Pastoral Care

• Shepherd the church – involves prayer, pastoral care, leadership development and discipleship.

What We're Looking For

• Character and gifting must fit the biblical requirements for an Elder laid out in 1 Timothy 3:1-12; Titus 1:5-9 and Acts 20:28. Be familiar with the identity and mission found 1 Thessalonians 1:3-10 and 1 Peter 2:9-10. These are foundational passages to Local Church St. Pete.
• Ministry experience, training, education – may vary
• A love for the local church and an understanding of God's purpose for it
• Musical skill and experience.
• Skills in communicating the bible and imparting vision
• Ability to organize, direct and motivate others
• A clear understanding and respect for biblical theology and disciple-making
• Embody the characteristics of LCSP's core values and culture

Compensation: Salary varies depending upon experience. Includes a generous benefits package with medical, life and disability insurance, 401(k) and paid time off (PTO).
