The Worship Pastor must be capable of leading a multi-generational congregation in worship through various styles of music, ranging from the classic hymns of the faith to current worship music. A thorough knowledge of music is required. He must be innovative, enthusiastic, and must work well in a team staff environment. Proficiency in leading with an instrument when appropriate is a plus. He must excel at building and leading a choir, praise team, and praise band. He must be capable of giving creative direction to all elements of congregational worship, special services, and musical presentations. The Worship Pastor will also provide oversight and training for all additional aspects of FBC Greeneville's Music & Worship Ministries, including audio/visual teams, multimedia production, and volunteer-led music programs (youth choir, children's choir, etc.). Technical skills to effectively utilize the necessary equipment and software is required. The Worship Pastor will possess a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The Worship Pastor will be spiritually mature and will concur with the church's statement of faith, as well as its mission, strategy and core values. Most importantly, the Worship Pastor must meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
