Job Overview
Southwest Christian Church is a non-denominational, reformed fellowship committed to the historic Christian faith, the Doctrines of Grace, and to the centrality of God's Word in all of life and worship. Our statement of faith reflects both the fullness of biblical theology and emphasizes the Five Solas. Our worship on Sunday mornings is Christ-centered, theologically substantive, and aimed at the glory of God in spirit and in truth.
We are seeking a godly, gifted man to serve as our part-time Worship Pastor. This person will lead our congregation in corporate worship, shepherd and schedule the music team, and work collaboratively with the elders to ensure our Sunday gatherings are growing both in depth and in joy.
Job Description
- Meets the biblical qualifications for an elder/overseer (1 Tim. 3:1–7; Titus 1:6–9; 1 Peter 5:1-5) or is actively pursuing them with the endorsement of their church's elders.
- Aspires to the office of a pastor, by shepherding the congregation in Scripture and song.
- Affirms our statement of faith, including the doctrines of grace and a high view of Scripture.
- Does not believe in seeker-sensitive nor attractional worship practices.
