Job Overview

Areas of Primary Responsibility:

• Provide leadership for corporate worship for Sunday services as well as other church events where worship is requested.
• Casting a vision of excellence and a lifestyle of worship.
• Provide worship music selection and music arranging for weekend services.
• Lead worship team rehearsals.
• Recruit, train and equip other worship leaders for weekend services as well as other areas of the church.
• Recruit, train and equip musicians/vocalists for the worship team.
• Provide training sessions for musicians/vocalists/songwriters to sharpen their skills. Utilize gifted musicians to work with aspiring musicians for team development.
• Plan and facilitate worship team auditions as necessary.
• Responsible for shepherding (pastoring) the Worship Team. Lead weekly devotional and prayer time for team encouragement.
• Lead the weekly service planning and evaluation meeting for the weekend worship services.
• Love God and love people in our church family.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of stage, work and storage areas.
• Plan and provide leadership for periodic Nights of Worship (Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, etc.).
• Develop annual ministry plan and budget for the worship ministry.
• Administrate, recruit and equip Lighting/Sound/Pro-Presenter Teams for excellence during corporate worship gatherings.
• Assist children's ministry and student ministry leaders in organizing the worship experience where needed.

Job Description

Area of Shared Responsibilities:

• Lead and plan worship team appreciation gatherings.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings as well as staff development times.
• Help with set up of facility or other staff work projects when requested.
• Become knowledgeable in lighting, sound and presentation software and assist in these production components when needed.
• Create links to those artists outside the body of Christ (build relationships with local artists, musicians, sound engineers).
