Worship Pastor

Job Overview

Serving as Worship Pastor, he will oversee and lead a worship team to guide the congregation in worship services and special programs, coordinating service details based on the theme and overall direction established by the Senior Pastor. The Worship Pastor will be a team-builder with communication and interpersonal skills developing a disciple-making culture within the worship team. The position is pastoral, requiring service not solely in leading the music ministry but also as a spiritually mature shepherd to The River Family.

We are looking for a man who can also be involved with other discipleship ministries within the church.

Qualifications:

• Spiritual Maturity:A committed Christian with a passion for congregational worship and spiritual growth.
• Character: A committed Christian who, with a humble, teachable heart, desires to grow in the characteristics mentioned in Titus 1:5-9.
• Musical Ability:Proficiency in vocals and a lead instrument (guitar or keyboard).
• Leadership: Is teachable, yet has the ability to lovingly lead others with a servant heart.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Worship Leadership:Plan, arrange, and lead weekly musical worship sets (including band/vocals/choir).
• Team Development:Recruit, audition, mentor, and schedule worship team members and volunteers.
• Rehearsals:Lead weekly rehearsals to ensure musical excellence and foster a spiritual community.
• Technical Oversight:Collaborate with tech/media teams to manage sound, lighting, and streaming for services.
• Pastoral Care and discipleship:Provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the music/tech team and to others within The River Family.
• Administration:Manage the worship ministry budget, equipment maintenance, and Planning Center Online.
