Young Adult Manager
Job Overview
The Young Adults & College Manager will lead and build a vibrant, Christ-centered ministry for young adults and college students at Peachtree Church. This role is deeply relational, outward-facing, and developmental, focused on helping young adults grow in faith, community, and mission during a formative season of life.
The ideal candidate is engaging, curious, and ready to learn, with a genuine love for people and a heart for building meaningful relationships. This leader will cultivate environments where young adults and college students feel known, welcomed, and invited into deeper discipleship and community. They will work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to strengthen existing ministries while prayerfully developing new pathways for connection and growth.
This role requires initiative, emotional intelligence, and a pastoral presence, someone who is comfortable meeting people where they are, casting vision, and building trust over time. The manager will help shape the future of Young Adult ministry at Peachtree by investing in leaders, creating accessible on-ramps into community, and fostering a culture of belonging, service, and spiritual formation. This role is also compatible with someone who is pursuing a seminary degree.
Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
Young Adult & College Ministry Leadership
- Lead, develop, and grow Peachtree's Young Adult and College Ministries through relational engagement, vision-casting, and strategic planning.
- Plan, execute, and oversee regular gatherings, events, and discipleship opportunities for young adults and college students.
- Cultivate meaningful relationships through consistent contact work, including meeting newcomers, following up personally, and helping individuals take next steps into community.
- Recruit, equip, and care for volunteer leaders who help extend the ministry's reach and depth.
- Create clear pathways into belonging, service, and spiritual formation for young adults within the life of the church.
- Provide occasional teaching, devotionals, or facilitation in ministry settings, with support and collaboration from the pastoral team.
Communication, Systems, and Collaboration
- Oversee ministry communication, including registration, follow-up, and ongoing engagement through church systems.
- Track participation and engagement to help assess health, growth, and next steps for the ministry.
General Ministry Responsibilities
- Participate in retreats, service projects, and special events connected to young adult, college, or church-wide ministry.
- Support administrative and organizational tasks that contribute to effective, sustainable ministry.
