Young Adults and Young Marrieds Pastor

Position Summary: The Young Adults and Young Marrieds Pastor will shepherd and oversee members in the crucial lifestages of the 20s and 30s and develop evangelistic ministries for people in this lifestage in our city. The position includes a variety of relational, leadership, counseling, and teaching responsibilities. They will also embrace general pastoral responsibilities in our broader membership. Key

Responsibilities:● Oversee the Young Adults Ministry and lead the Sunday School class● Oversee ECBC's premarital counseling ministry and help train lay leaders for this ministry● Shepherd and pursue young married couples, initiating new relationships and helping them get involved.● Engage and evangelize Young Adults in Charleston Area● Teach, counsel, and pastor in a variety of church contexts

Qualifications and Requirements:● Affirm East Cooper Baptist Church's Statement of Faith, commit to teaching within it, and exhibiting an exemplary lifestyle according to biblical requirements for leadership.● 3-5 years of ministry experience● MDiv preferred, Bachelor's degree required.● Highly relationally skilled and relationally motivated: a gatherer and pursuer of people● Prudence, discretion, and sensitivity in relationships● Proficient teacher and communicator in a variety of contexts● Proficient counselor, especially in the context of premarital and marital counseling● Works well on a team and leaders volunteers wisely
