Key Responsibilities

Preaching and Teaching
- Weekly teacher for Youth Group worship service
- Sunday morning main worship preaching (3-5 times a year)

Pastoral Role

Shepherding 6th-12th Grade Youth Ministry
- Regularly available to counsel youth group members
- Equip youth group leadership team members
- Disciple and support parents w/school age children
- Supporting Pre-k through 5th grade kids

Serving as a member of the Pastoral Leadership Team
- In conjunction with the Lead Pastor, providing general oversight and vision for the spiritual health and direction of the church
- Eager to support the Lead Pastor's vision and ministry plan

Shepherding 6th-12th Grade Youth Ministry

Connect Groups Ministry
- Willing to regularly lead a Connect Group (small groups ministry)
- Serve on the Connect Groups Leadership Team
- Regularly involved in recruiting and training new Connect Groups leaders

Pastoral Care
- Assist Pastoral Team and Deacon Team for visitation ministry
- Partner with Lead Pastor to provide counseling to individuals/families
- Regularly exercise the ministry of presence in all facets of church life

Administration and Event Planning
- Participate in annual budget planning with Stewardship Team
- Work with Lead Pastor and staff to review and revise annual ministry plan
- Planning monthly youth events
- Organizing and leading kids and youth camps
- Attending weekly staff meeting and monthly Deacons' Meeting
- Regularly meeting with Lead Pastor for discipleship and accountability

Skills, Qualifications, and Biblical Convictions
- Must possess a genuine profession of faith and clear testimony of salvation
- Called to and gifted for pastoral ministry according to I Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9
- An evangelist's heart, passionate to share the hope of the Gospel with the lost
- Able to clearly teach and communicate God's Word to all ages and demographics, particularly to younger children and youth
- Utilizes an exegetical approach to sermon prep and delivery
- Able to relate and communicate effectively in a NextGen context
- Not shy and willing to be a self-starter that engages with our local schools and sports leagues
- Self-disciplined, motivated character with a servant's heart
- Holds firmly to core Christian doctrines and convictions, but humble and gracious towards others
- Teachable, flexible, and willing to submit to the leadership of the Lead Pastor
- Fully in alignment with the BFM 2000
- In agreement with a complementarian view of pastoral ministry
- If married, absolutely committed to wife (and children)
- Actively guards moral purity and has no abiding struggle with viewing pornographic or other illicit materials
- Disciplined in social media life/not antagonist or mean-spirited in the online domain
- Preference may be given to those that have completed some level of seminary training
- Able to complete and pass a nationally accredited background check

Compensation
- While compensation will vary depending on education, prior experience, and other relevant qualifications, the general salary package will be $55,000
