The Redeemer Apprenticeship for Ministry Program (RAMP) is a one-year apprenticeship program in New York City for Christian college students or recent graduates who want to discern if church-based ministry is their vocation. RAMP is a collaboration between Redeemer Downtown, Redeemer Lincoln Square, and Redeemer West Side, in partnership with Redeemer City to City, which consists of coursework, character and spiritual formation, Gospel application, and first-hand ministry experience, all within an urban context.
Job Description
The Youth Ministry Apprentice in the Redeemer Apprenticeship for Ministry Program (RAMP) will serve alongside the Youth Ministry team, helping high school and middle school students grow in faith, community, and discipleship. This role is perfect for a college student or recent graduate exploring vocational ministry and passionate about mentoring the next generation in gospel-centered living. (redeemerdt.com)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and leading weekly youth gatherings, small groups, retreats, and special events.
- Support volunteer leaders, mentor students, and create safe, welcoming environments for youth to learn and grow in faith.
- Participate in RAMP cohort, coursework, and coaching, integrating hands-on ministry with personal formation.
- Engage relationally with students and families, fostering discipleship and spiritual conversations.
- Contribute to outreach initiatives and youth-focused programs across the church calendar.
Qualifications
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a desire to grow in youth ministry.
- Rising junior, senior, or recent graduate recommended by their home church.
- Strong relational and communication skills with teenagers and young adults.
- Creativity, energy, and a willingness to serve as a mentor and role model.
