Position Overview
Damascus Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a Part-Time Youth Pastor who will lead and shepherd our middle and high school students. This individual will provide spiritual leadership, relational discipleship, and engaging Biblical teaching while working in a part-time capacity.
The Youth Pastor will focus on building a Christ-centered student ministry that partners with families and equips students to follow Jesus and live out the Great Commission—making disciples who make disciples.

Has a clear and compelling testimony of personal salvation, marked by spiritual maturity and a growing walk with ChristDemonstrates integrity, humility, and godly characterHas a genuine love for students and a passion to disciple the next generationBuilds strong relationships with students, parents, and volunteersLeads with energy, authenticity, and Biblical convictionIs self-motivated and able to manage responsibilities effectively in a part-time role
Education and Experience Requirements
Undergraduate degree – preferredTheological or ministry training – a plusDoctrinal alignment with the Baptist Faith & Message (2000)Experience in student ministry or related field – preferredAbility to teach and communicate Biblical truth in a clear, engaging wayDemonstrated heart for evangelism and discipleship
Key Responsibilities
Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings (midweek) and assist with Sunday involvement as neededDevelop a simple, sustainable vision for student ministry appropriate for a part-time roleInvest relationally in students through intentional discipleship and presence at key momentsRecruit, equip, and support a team of adult volunteers to help carry out ministryCommunicate regularly with parents and involve them in their student's spiritual growthCoordinate and lead key events such as camps, retreats, and outreach opportunitiesEncourage and equip students to serve within the life of the churchCollaborate with church staff to ensure alignment with the overall mission of the church

In recent years, God has brought vibrant growth to our congregation—welcoming over 140 new members and celebrating 40 professions of faith. What was once an older congregation has become a thriving, multi-generational church filled with families, children, youth, and seniors worshiping together.
