First Baptist Church has a specialized and unique opportunity for just the right person. We are looking for someone to lead and minister to our youth. The position offered will depend on experience and qualifications. Our desire is for this person to focus on caring for, teaching and guiding our youth, being actively involved in their lives. The right person is expected to create welcoming and engaging environment, good at conflict resolution, be able to recruit, develop, and deploy youth leaders from the church, plan budget and operate within budget, develop Bible teaching calendar for youth- weekly, occasionally, annually, and regularly teach Bible to youth with conviction, compassion, and care. Candidates also need to be able to develop and execute a strategic plan for the youth ministry and regularly report to the church's leadership and congregation at business meetings about developments in youth ministry. We also need our youth pastor to work with other church leaders to find ministry opportunities for the youth in the broader church family and strive to grow and maintain an active and growing relationship with the Lord, maintaining a healthy balance of personal spiritual formation, family life, and ministry. The right person will likely need to begin as bi-vocational as to start there is a $1,000 stipend and a newly remodeled basement home with plenty of room.
